LIDE Tech Strengthens International Cooperation at the 2021 Guangzhou–Thuringia Online Exchange

On November 3, 2021, the 2021 Guangzhou–Thuringia Meeting and Panyu–Jena Online Exchange Day was successfully held via video conference. The event brought together government and business representatives from China and Germany, including Wen Guohui, Mayor of Guangzhou; Karsten Feller, Secretary General of the Ministry of Economy, Science and Digitalization of Thuringia; and Thomas Nicher, Mayor of Jena. LIDE Tech, a leading Chinese provider of smart access control and security solutions, was invited to participate as a representative enterprise.

During his speech, Mayor Wen highlighted Thuringia’s rich history, culture, and innovative industries. He noted the long-standing cooperation between Jena and Guangzhou’s Panyu District, which has led to fruitful outcomes. In 2020, Guangzhou and Jena officially established a friendly cooperative relationship, marking a new milestone in bilateral exchange. During the COVID-19 pandemic, the two cities supported each other, reflecting the deep friendship and mutual trust between China and Germany. Mayor Wen expressed hope for even broader cooperation in economy, technology, and culture to benefit both regions.

Mr. Feller and Mayor Nicher also delivered speeches emphasizing the close ties between Thuringia, Jena, Guangzhou, and Panyu. They praised the event as a platform to strengthen mutual understanding and looked forward to deeper collaboration in trade, science, education, culture, and tourism for shared development.

As part of the program, promotional videos showcasing Guangzhou, Panyu, Thuringia, and Jena were presented. Officials including Ms. Sabina Voscher, Director of the Economic Development Bureau of Thuringia, and leaders from the Panyu District Government also shared insights on regional development and partnership opportunities.

LIDE Tech participated in the Smart City Round Table, represented by Ms. Maria Qian, Head of the Foreign Trade Department, and Ms. Tracy Li, Foreign Trade Manager. Ms. Qian introduced the company’s history, product portfolio, and innovation achievements, highlighting how LIDE Tech integrates intelligent design and advanced manufacturing to deliver reliable smart access control solutions.

German participants showed strong interest in LIDE Tech’s technologies and discussed potential future collaborations.
This event provided an important platform for China–Germany dialogue, deepening mutual understanding and strengthening business ties. LIDE Tech looks forward to continued cooperation with German partners—through visits, joint projects, and long-term partnerships—to promote innovation and shared growth in the global smart security industry.
